Primary Water Treatment Systems

Essential First Step for Effective Water & Wastewater Purification

At Best Innovation Technologies, our Primary Water Treatment Systems are designed to efficiently remove suspended solids, grit, oil, and floating contaminants from raw water and wastewater. These systems form the foundation for effective downstream treatments like RO, DM, UF, biological units, and advanced solutions like Electrocoagulation (EC).

Key Components of Primary Treatment

  • Bar Screens: Coarse and fine screens for removing large debris like plastics, rags, and leaves.

  • Grit Chambers: Removes sand, gravel, and other heavy inorganic particles.

  • Oil & Grease Traps: Separates floating oils, grease, and scum.

  • Electrocoagulation (EC) / Chemical Coagulation-Flocculation: Advanced  process that removes emulsified oils, metals, and fine particles using electrical current.

  • Sedimentation Tanks / Clarifiers: Settles heavier suspended solids under gravity.

  • Tube Settlers / Lamella Clarifiers: Space-saving clarifiers that enhance settling efficiency.

How It Works

Raw water or wastewater flows through a series of mechanical and gravitational separation units.

  1. Screening removes coarse solids.

  2. Grit removal separates dense particles.

  3. Oil traps skim out lighter-than-water substances.

  4. Electrocoagulation Electrical destabilization of colloids and removal via electrolysis.

  5. Settling tanks allow solids to settle out before the water moves to secondary or advanced treatment.
